This is Jim and today I am going to let you in on a couple of excellent zerg strategies that you must know about.
Read these and you will have a couple of strategies you can use to give yourself the advantage in combat.
These are tactics which you can consider and use and see if you like them. Form your own build order which suits you and then work on getting the upper hand. Once you have mastered these strategies then they will help you a huge amount in the future.

Speedling Overwhelm
Speedling Overwhelm consists of building as many zerglings as possible. However you need to be quick with this tactic. The trick to this is to make sure you harass your opponent early on and scout effectively for any air units.
Also make sure you build a double hatchery to increase your income from the start. It will mean you lose your minerals quicker but the aim of this attack is that you shouldn’t need a further hatchery.
Along with the Speedlings you will also need a baneling nest. This is for breaking open the front door because if they are walled in then you need to get in fast. Try to overwhelm them with speedlings once you have broke through break them in half.
Send half to their army and the other half to their mineral line. If their army is smaller then just defeat their army and win the game.
Fast Mutalisks
Mutalisks are one of the most powerful flying units that you can get hold of early on in the game. They can attack ground and air units so they are not countered simply by having these units, unlike banshees who can be countered by anything that can attack air units from the air.
If you get mutalisks out fast enough then you can counter most of the early game units. If you can not counter them then you can just keep flying over the enemies cliffs and harass their workers constantly.
The best part about this tactic is that it is very hard to counter unless you have some serious anti air units.
Roaches, Roaches, Roaches
This is a great strategy that is used a lot on battle.net! The trick to being successful with this tactic is producing a lot of roaches as quickly as possible.
You can get away s using a two hatchery technique in some games, but it is recommend to use one. Roaches are one of the toughest if not THE toughest tier one units you can get. They can be countered by marauders slowing them down or faster units like stalkers. But the roach remains to be extremely strong against tier one units.
