Per Minute or APM!
Now the important thing to remember is that the reason you want to increase your APM is so that you can perform necessary actions and build a solid economy whilst executing excellent micro.
APM Is extremely important, APM Stands for Actions Per Minute, which is why it is important.
Increasing ACTIONS per minute is the key, not useless clicking and hotkeying, increasing actions will help you perform faster..
Lets start off by looking at the actions you would like to be doing per minute, doing this will allow you to see where you can increase your current APM.
- Building SCVs/Drones/Probes
- Building Buildings
- Micro-ing Your Army
- Building More Army
- Scouting The Map
- Harassing The Enemy
- Teching/Researching
- Communicating With Your Team
- Expanding Your Base
Ok having looked at these actions, how many of these do you currently get done with in one minute?

Top Tips for increasing APM
- Learn all of the hotkeys instinctively.
- Using hotkeys doesnt work if you dont actually use them..
- Switch from Micro to Macro constantly.
- Use Multi-Micro which means splitting your army into different counter groups.
- Build Workers Constantly.
- DPI on mice can be the difference between fast and very fast..
- Get a slick awesome keyboard.

Hotter Keys
If you comfortably use the hotkeys and monitor your APM in replays after the games you play on battle.this will give you a great chance to start to win games.
In starcraft 2 or other strategy games, which means you can beat even more bad guys that oppose you!
Mini-Map Time!
The mini map was built for a reason, to be used so do it!! I like to use the mini map a lot because it gives you warning if your enemy inside your view quicker than you would be able to by skimming the map for clues.
Minimap, This is one of the most common mistakes in starcraft 2 is not to use the mini map as much as you can, it will help you greatly in being able to detect the enemy, remember to use your scouts to get an even greater look at the heads up you were given.
