Starcraft 2 How To
Terran Guide

Hey Jim Here Again…

Here’s a few ways of approaching terran strategy.

Here you’ll discover how to enjoy some quick successes and how to build momentum with your terran.

Terran can be deployed quickly as their mobile buildings can be moved fairly easily.

The marine is an absolutely awesome initial unit as it’s the only one that can carry out attacks on air units. They also have the battle cruiser which is a great end game unit…

The best start for a terran is to look at using their infantry massively, they have very strong infantry being made of the marine, when upgraded can take down air units in mass.

They also have the powerful marauder which can upgrade their shells to slow down enemy units, they require a high amount of micro but they can take on zerglings and zealots by slowing them down.

Terran have a lot of very interesting tactics they can use. You can use a medivac and constantly channel healing on your infantry whilst using stim packs to increase your fire power. Get a medivac from the starport with no add ons needed. Pack it full of marines & marauders and creep around to the rear of the enemy base.

Now hit their minerals and leave their SCVs in total destruction. It’s now time to get out of there. A defence won’t be far away now so get back to your base and regroup.

A great terran approach is to keep building SCVs until your macro-management if really high. It’s pretty easy with terran as they’ve got fantastic biuld orders.

Then using orbital command you can apply MULE’s to create more minerals or conjure up some more supply for the depots. To learn single player techniques click here: Starcraft two – How to play offline

Here are my top tips for playing terran

- Constantly Build SCVs
- Start off with Marines and Marauders
- Try to get to three barracks pumping units
-  Use orbital command early to get an economic advantage using MULEs
- Wall your ramp to keep yourself safe from early attacks

Playing against zerg the most difficult stage is getting passed the initial zergling rush, if they do not rush then you can wall your ramp in, harass with reapers and potentially hellions and try to get the advantage on your enemy.

This will help to slowly creep in front of your enemy economy wise and then strike down with a superior force upon their door step, be careful against banelings as they can destroy your infantry.

Just as strong against terran is protoss. Once again get your ramp walled, then hit them hard and fast to prevent their awesome air units coming into play

I hope you enjoyed this guide and we will be providing you with more quick guides in the future
